Volunteer
It always feels good to help others. But nothing compares to seeing the joy on the face of someone you've helped rise above personal limitations. Giving someone the power to believe in himself is the greatest gift you can possibly give. That's what the volunteers of Angels on Horseback do every day.
Angels on Horseback offers therapeutic horseback riding and other equine activities to physically and mentally challenged individuals. Equine therapy provides many physical benefits, including improvements in strength, flexibility, muscle tone, and motor skill development. But it also provides many emotional benefits: self-confidence, independence, a sense of belonging, and happiness.
Dedicated, caring individuals are needed to share their time and energy with others as part of the Angels on Horseback program. As a volunteer, you'll meet new people, expand your awareness about individuals with disabilities, enjoy the outdoors, learn about horses, all while having a great time!
All that's required is a willingness to help, and a big heart.
